UKE TAB COLLECTION

All of these tabs have been created with my own tool Ukeopia. Check it out!

Since I started playing Ukulele I translated and edited a lot of tabs meant for guitars, with some of them not really working out, and some of them listed on this page.

Of course these tabs/melodies are not my own, but the property of their respective writers or performers and may be subject to copyright.

Talk to the Moon by Ripe

To get this out of the way first, Ripe is my favorite band! That's why they might be on this page multiple times despite being not as well-known as the other songs. To keep the tabs inside the range of a Uke, I put the higher note of double-notes one octave down and the bass notes one up. The original tab is from this Ultimate Guitar page. Play it palm-muted.

It runs through me by Tom Misch

I made the pauses a bit longer, because it helped me keep the different parts apart, so as always, but especially here; listen to the song and play it like it's played, don't count the hyphens to see how long the pauses are! The original tab is from this Ultimate Guitar page.

    Lose Yourself by Eminem

Use Palm Muting throughout the tab.
I use the pinkie for fret 5 and 6 on the E-string, and the ring finger on the 3rd fret. The index finger will stay on the 2nd fret of the C-string and try to not be in the way of the middle finger switching between 2nd and 3rd fret on the G-string.
Play the Main part with part A three times, and every fourth time, the Main part is played with part B to spice it up.
This tab has been inspired by various Ultimate Guitar pages, but all of them were so inaccurate that I made my own version. I'm quite proud of it, but even more than always, feel free to make some changes to it if you feel like it fits better.

Ich geh heut nicht mehr tanzen by AnnenMayKantereit

Not only is this probably the most iconic riff of german indie music, but it's also played on an Ukulele in the original studio version of the song! I took it from this Ultimate Guitar page.

Still D.R.E. by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg

Most timeless rap song ever. The ukulele has such high tones that it sounds like it was played on one in the original. But it is very tricky. Leave out the G string for a while, it's the bass line, two octaves higher to be playable at all, but still extremely weird. You can put your middle finger on the 10th fret on the A-string and let loose of the pinky on the 12th fret, then use the ring finger for the E-string and move around the index finger on the C-string. You'll need to learn to play it with only three fingers if you want to add the bassline though. This tab used various sources.

    City of Angels by 24kGoldn

This might be one of the cringiest songs I listen to. But it has such an iconic guitar, which is so simple to play on Ukulele! It's made up of 3 chords that all have the same chord pattern, so you only have to slide your hand across the neck and are even given one or two ghost-notes of time for that. The original tab is from this Ultimate Guitar page.

Note that I wrote it in a way where you can play it all with the same chord shape if you manage to slide it around the neck quick enough! The tabs are based off of this amazing youtube video.

The chords during the verses are played in a simple Reggae strum pattern, but you have to play certain variants of them so that the pitch is still right. I took the chords from a Chord Identification AI.

Blues Rythm Guitar by Perfecto de Castro

Now this one's a bit different. It's a Ukulele translation of two basic bass lines from Perfecto de Castro and Paul David's video tutorial The 9 step secret to Blues Rythm Guitar, in other words only step 3 and 5. Everything after that would have to be formed for each chord progression individually, so if you are interested in the topic, just check it out!
So here's step 3. It's the Blues Walk rythm, together with chord stabs with the notes C# and G that we all heared before in Blues songs. Perfecto de Castro calls these stabs the "Secret of the Blues".
For the bass notes, you can use any notes you like, just pay attention that they are as low as possible and harmonize, for example by having them be all on the same scale.

    A|------4--4------3--4------4--4------3--4-|------3--3------2--3------3--3----2-3----|
    E|------3--3------2--3------3--3------2--3-|------2--2------1--2------2--2----1-2----|
    C|-0--0-2--2-0--0-2--2-0--0-2--2-0--0-2--2-|-3--3-5--5-3--3-5--5-3--3-5--5-3--3-5--5-|
    G|-----------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------|

    A|------4--4------3--4------5--5------4--5-|
    E|------3--3------2--3------4--4------3--4-|
    C|-7--7-9--9-7--7-9--9-5--5-7--7-5--5-7--7-|
    G|-----------------------------------------|

Until step 5, they started all over again, with a new rythm, called the Walking Bass. It is made up of four notes right next to each other that can be played anywhere on the fretboard. It does however make sense to play it on the C-string, so that it doesn't get into the way of the chord stab that we're using again, and isn't as high as if you'd play it on the G-string.

    A|--4-------4-------4-------4------|--3-------3-------3-------3------|
    E|--3-------3-------3-------3------|--2-------2-------2-------2------|
    C|-3-0-1-2-3-0-1-2-3-0-1-2-3-0-1-2-|-6-3-4-5-6-3-4-5-6-3-4-5-6-3-4-5-|
    G|---------------------------------|---------------------------------|

    A|--4-------4-------5-------5------|
    E|--3-------3-------4-------4------|
    C|-----------------8-5-6-7-8-5-6-7-|
    G|-3-0-1-2-3-0-1-2-----------------|

All of this is so basic that you can and should improvise a lot! This tab is not from any specific song and not supposed to teach this in particular like the other tabs here, it just shows how the Blues works and that it works on Ukulele as well.

    Young Tom Rose by Ripe

Beautiful song. The original tab is from this Ultimate Guitar page.

    G|-2-x-x-4-x-x-9/11--x-x-6\4-4-|-2-x-x-4-x-x-7-|

Since all of the notes are double-stops, you could play it on just one of the two strings too. And if you think it sounds too agressive for such a calm song, you could leave out the ghost notes too. As always, modify it however you want.
